We felt incredibly lucky to spend a week on the beautiful Disney Dream. Disney Cruise Line has really mastered the magic of blending that classic 1920s ocean-liner style with all the fun and comfort you could imagine. It’s anything but old-fashioned—this ship is bursting with Disney magic!
From the moment we set sail, we were amazed by everything on board: the ambiance, the food, and just about every detail! Our cabin was super spacious, and coming back each evening to find a different towel animal on our freshly made beds always brought a smile to our faces.
Dining was an adventure in itself, with three main themed restaurants offering incredible meals. The true magic, though, was in the staff! Each night, the same waiters joined us, learning all our likes and even entertaining us with jokes and tricks. By the end, they felt like old friends, making us feel right at home. And our room steward? He somehow kept our room—home to three busy girls!—spotless twice a day. Talk about a fairy godmother!
The shows on board left us speechless (and that’s saying something!). While the kids enjoyed seeing their favorite characters up close, adults could appreciate the amazing talent and production. It was like watching Broadway at sea! The kids’ club, even though we only popped in once, was fully “Disney-fied” with endless fun and activities for the little ones.
There’s plenty of space for adults to relax too. With cozy pubs, lounges, and a club featuring singers and quizzes, the adults-only area was perfect. There’s even a pool area just for grown-ups, complete with a quiet café and comfy sunbeds. You could practically forget you were on a Disney ship!
The main pool for kids could get busy, but even so, we always found sunbeds, and the Aquaduck waterslide over the ocean was a blast!
Yes, a Disney cruise is a bit pricier than some other family cruises, but Disney's high standards make it so worth it. From the moment you board to a round of applause welcoming your family, you feel like royalty.
